What is
Fidyah?
Fidya is a compensatory payment made when an individual cannot fast during Ramadan due to illness or any other valid reason that prevents them from fasting. The set amount for Fidya is $00 per day for each day of fasting missed.
This contribution sustains those in need, ensuring that the equivalent of two meals per day is provided to underprivileged individuals. Through Fidya, those unable to participate in fasting can still fulfill their religious duties by directly supporting and nurturing the less fortunate in their communities.

This compensation can be in the form of feeding 60 needy people at a rate of $00 per person for each day of fasting that was deliberately missed. If fulfilling this obligation through fasting is not possible due to health or other valid reasons, the focus shifts entirely to ensuring that the needy are fed, underscoring the importance of maintaining the sanctity of fasting and supporting community welfare.
