What are the responsibilities of the renter in terms of setup and cleanup?
Renters are responsible for setting up and putting away any equipment, decorations, or tools they bring. After the event, the space must be left in a neat and tidy state, with all garbage set to the side and tables and chairs properly put away.
What is the cancellation policy?
If an event is cancelled, the $325 deposit and $25 booking fee will not be refunded. The $175 Venue Service Charge will be refunded.
If your event is on or after January 1st, 2024, you will NOT be eligible for a refund.
Are there any additional costs I should be aware of?
Beyond the refundable deposit, nonrefundable booking fee, and Venue Service Charge, there are no additional mandatory costs. However, please note that the renter is responsible for the setup, takedown, and provision of any equipment, decorations, or tools not provided by MCC.

What are the hall's operating hours?
The hall is open from 10 AM to 11 PM daily. This timeframe includes setup and cleanup time. Please ensure the hall is empty by 11 PM.
Are there multiple entrances to the hall?
Our hall has one main entrance to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of guests. There is an additional emergency exit available for safety reasons, but it cannot be used for event activities.
What is included in the Venue Service Charge?
The Venue Service Charge of $175 includes the use of our community hall and facilities, such as chairs, tables, a cordless microphone, sound system, restrooms, and cleaning supplies. The Venue Service Charge is non-refundable except in case of cancellation.
Note: For events on or after January 1st, the Venue Service Charge is now $1,000.
What is the refund policy for the deposit?
For events on or before 12/31: After your event, you may request a refund by emailing [email protected]. Within 7-10 days of contacting us, the $325 deposit will be fully refunded provided all rules and conditions are complied with in full. This includes no cancellations, no damage to the hall or MCC-provided equipment, and adherence to our restrictions on alcohol, pork, and music.

Are there any restrictions on the type of events, activities or decorations allowed in the hall?
Alcohol, pork, and music are strictly prohibited during all events in the hall. Decorations are welcome, but please do not use stickers, tape, or nails on the walls. The volume from the audio system must be kept at a reasonable level.
What equipment does MCC provide?
MCC provides a sound system with bluetooth capabilities, a cordless microphone, chairs, tables, garbage bins, and cleaning supplies such as brooms, dustpans, a mop, and a mop bucket.
Is it possible to set up for the event the night before?
Unfortunately, due to our tight booking schedule and the need to adequately clean and prepare the hall for each event, we cannot allow setup the night before your event.
Is parking available at the venue?
Street parking is available but limited. Unfortunately, there’s no parking lot on site and no paid parking garages nearby. For public transit, the N and R trains and B37, B63, and B11 buses are conveniently located nearby.
