ZAKAT
SERVICES
The Muslim Community Center (MCC) is committed to facilitating the practice of Zakat, one of the Five Pillars of Islam, which involves giving to those in need and supporting the less fortunate in our community.
Zakat Al-Maal:
MCC is eligible to receive Zakat Al-Maal, which is the annual almsgiving on wealth. We recognize the importance of this charitable act in fulfilling your religious obligations and supporting those who are less fortunate. Zakat Al-Maal is collected year-round to provide ongoing assistance to individuals and families facing financial hardship.
Your generous contributions help us make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need within our community. To fulfill your Zakat Al-Maal obligations or to learn more about the process, please contact us.
Zakat Al-Fitr (Fitrana):
As Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, draws to a close, MCC also facilitates the collection and distribution of Zakat Al-Fitr. This charitable contribution, known as Fitrana, is obligatory for every eligible member of the household. Zakat Al-Fitr is traditionally given in the last 10 days of Ramadan before Eid prayer.
By participating in Zakat Al-Fitr, you join the community in ensuring that those in need can partake in the joyous celebrations of Eid. Your contributions help provide essential provisions to individuals and families, allowing them to enjoy the festive occasion with dignity.
To contribute to Zakat Al-Fitr or to obtain further information about its distribution, please reach out to us. We are here to facilitate your charitable acts during this blessed time of the year.
